Chilean musician, producer, and film director returned with his new single, “Gaucho”, a groovy pop ballad ahead of the release of his newest album. The new album titled Dime Precioso, is set to be released this month on May 24th. The track is accompanied by a dark-themed music video directed by Anwandter and Josefina Alen.
The multi-faceted Chilean artist’s new album comes with a lot of anticipation. It is the follow up to his 2023 Latin Grammy nominated El diablo en el cuerpo, as well as his win as producer for Julieta Venegas’ Tu Historia.
The video evokes a nostalgic feeling, at times mixing black and white shots with lettering spelling out dialogue in the same style of films from the Silent Era. The cowboy imagery connects to the song’s title “Gaucho”, a reference to cowboys from Argentina’s famous pampas plains.
