Oye Fest: The Latinx Music Festival Highlighting Inclusivity

Today marks the launch of the inaugural Oye Fest, a festival that will not only be filled diverse eclectic Latinx beats but panel discussions, art on exhibit, and donations to fight for inclusivity. Oye Fest is a promotional company and music festival created by Monica Campana, Margarita Rios, and Randall Ruiz: three Latinxs entrenched in a love of music, activism, and tolerance.

Peel Dream Magazine Announce Upcoming Album, Release Single

Peel Dream Magazine is the creation of New York musician, Joe Stevens. Their upcoming album, Modern Meta Physic, will be coming out October 5th via Slumberland Records. The band has also released the first track off the album, “Qi Velocity,” an edgy take on French Pop.

David Nance Group Announce New Album Out October

After three full-length albums, a 7-inch, numerous cassettes, and unlicensed “cover albums” of artists like Lou Reed, The Beatles, and the Rolling Stones, Omaha songwriter David Nance is releasing an album as David Nance Group. The album, Peaced and Slightly Pulverized, will be out October 5th on Trouble in Mind Records.

Plaza Classic Film Festival Returns For 11th Year

In 2000, the iconic Plaza Theatre began restoration setting up the 2008 creation of a film festival named, The Movies Return To The Plaza Theatre. This was the inception the Plaza Classic Film Festival. The PCFF has drawn over 400,000 film fanatics in its eleven year existence featuring appearances from legends of film such as Al Pacino,  Debbie Reynolds, Rita Moreno, Richard Dreyfuss, Eva Marie Saint, Kathleen Turner, Tippi Hedren, Robert Wagner, Cindy Williams, Don Bluth, among others.
