Shannon Lay is among the handful of artists that have the capability to have you head banging and happy one track, and weeping the next. Her musical prominence was clear from the moment I heard her work in the punk band, Feels. But her solo album was worlds apart.
Shannon Lay has risen to fame as a member of the band, Feels. But her heavy, building-shaking riffs also have a soft side. Lay’s solo work has made listeners far and wide come to calm and tears with simple and soft melodies. She ended summer with tour dates with indie artist, Dent May, including a stop in El Paso, TX at The Monarch.
Deeper will be releasing their debut, self-titled album out on May 25th via Fire Talk Records. With the album right around the corner, the band released the new single “Feels.” Their U.S. tour begins next week as well.
Shannon Lay, the lead guitarist from the punk band Feels, released her solo album Living Water. The record is also the inaugural record for Kevin Morby’s new imprint, Mare Records, which will be a part of Woodsist.
