Girl Talk, aka Pittsburgh-based producer and performer Gregg Gillis, has been busy with collaborative work, including the latest new single, “Trouble in Paradise,” which features Flatbush Zombie’s Erick The Architect. “The track samples Julian Casablancas and The Voidz and premiered last night as the end credits of HBO’s Silicon Valley.
Gillis said in a press release, “I’m a fan of Flatbush Zombies, so I met up with Erick last time I was in New York. I played him some music that I was working on, and he later jumped on one of the beats. The Julian Casablancas and The Voidz sample really clicked with the initial idea, so we reworked the song, and it transformed into something more menacing and heavy.”
Gillis has also collaborated is collaborating with Smoke DZA, Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T., Juicy J, Young Nudy, and T-Pain.
