The London rockers that describe their sound as “cinematic southern gothic alt rock,” have announced the release date for their sophomore album, As I Fell, which will be out August 17th via Submarine Cat Records. The band also released the first single, “Valentine,” with its accompanying video directed by Gregg Houston.
The Curse of Lono, consisting of Felix, Joe Hazell, Charis Anderson, Dani Ruiz Hernandez, and Neil Findlay, received critical acclaim for the debut album, Severed. So the band has a lot of momentum riding forward but listening to their first single and seeing the mini documentary they did only adds more assurance to their fans and critics alike.
The short film on the band, was also done by Gregg Houston, the filmmaker (who has worked with Oasis’ Noel Gallagher, Two Door Cinema Club, and Foy Vance among others) and captures the bands exploits working on the forthcoming album in Joshua Tree in the Californian Desert and Flesh & Bone in London.
