In the new cross-generational, multimodal cataclysm of a project, Midori Takada, Lafawndah, and Partel Oliva create an experience that would best be described as ambitious and adventurous. Using the Japanese and Senegalese folklore archetype of a fox, Le Renard Bleu is musical that calls on the cunning fox to bring energy to audiences.
The collaboration is carried out over two EPs, self-directed music videos, and countless live performances. Lafawndah’s choreography, Takada’s first musical release in nearly twenty years, and Oliva’s aesthetic are the elements that bring this project to life.
The vinyl will be out August 24th.
