Making Moving Announces Show with Rubén Blades Along with Single

The immigrant rock band Making Movies, originally from México but established in Kansas City, Missouri, released a new single titled “Accidente.” They band has also announced an upcoming show with Rubén Blades in Mexico City at the Auditorio Nacional.

Accompanying the new single, the band has also announced a show with Rubén Blades in Mexico City at the Auditorio Nacional. The show will be this Wednesday, November 20, 2019.

The show comes Blades opening for the band then be joined by the band to perform their track, “No Te Calles,” the opening song to their Latin Grammy nominated album Paraiso Road Gang.

Enrique Chi, singer/songwriter for Making Movies explained about the new song, “there is a romance to it, the narrator is asking to be joined and stay in that place of clarity, ‘solo existe el momento,’ only the moment exists, there is no past and there is no future all we have is now.”

The cover art for the single shows “Cheryl,” an award winning 1960 Austin Healy 3000 race car owned by a friend of the band that was in an accident as the band was brainstorming cover art for the single.

“The car was owned by a friend of the band and his accident felt like more than a coincidence,” says Diego Chi, bassist for the band. “He took this incredibly tragic photograph [of the car] and we wanted to turn it into something beautiful.”
