Aldious is the earth-shattering, groundbreaking metal band from Japan and now they return with their new vocalist, R!N. The new album EVOKE 2010-2020, will cover the band’s biggest hits of the past decade but performed with R!N. The album will be out April 10th on JPU Records.
The international release from JPU Records will also feature a track not available on the Japanese edition of the album, “We Are.” The CD will come with lyrics translated into English and Romaji for the CD’s booklet.
R!N joined Aldious officially in 2019 after having toured with the band. R!N rose to critical acclaim under the moniker of Genie, and recording songs for hit anime shows Attack on Titan and Mobile Suit Gundam.
On joining the band and working on this album R!N said, “when I first encountered Aldious’ music I was surprised by its high impact and powerful nature. I was fascinated how they could switch between such intensity and being beautifully melodious in the blink of an eye. After joining the band on tour, I’m so happy to be welcomed as an official member and am looking forward to deepen our bond together and explore new possibilities!”
The band will also embark on their first ever European tour traveling to cities in three different countries. Tour dates listed below.
Toki, Aldious’ guitarist who recently returned to the band after having her first child, mentioned about the tour, “it’s been my dream to perform in Europe since the beginning! It will be my first time in those countries, so I’m looking forward to see how metal fans respond to our music. I’ll do my best! I’m also looking forward to drink beer and eat sausages in Germany!”
Aldious’ founder and guitarist Yoshi also added, “I love German metal, so I’m extra excited about performing in Berlin. Of course, I’m looking forward to all shows, as well as eating fish and chips in London and speaking French in Paris! I was interested in French as a kid and can still speak a little bit. Now I have a good excuse to brush up on it!”
