Caloncho packed the Lowbrow Palace in El Paso, TX with a sold out show on his Tofu tour. The Sonoran artist is amidst his most ambitious tour yet spanning dates since January of this year and running until November and featuring dates in Europe, North America, and Latin America.
A Fall Sunday night had a line wrapped around the block on 1006 Texas Ave. to enter the Lowbrow Palace on September 8th. Days after releasing “Popango”, the latest song from a forthcoming deluxe version of his latest album Tofu, Caloncho brought an intimate set to a sold out Sun City crowd.
The crowd had fans of many different ages, small children to older fans and everything in between. But everybody was singing along from the moment Caloncho came out.
In an interview, Caloncho himself recognized how fans seem to pick up his lyrics almost immediately after their release. It isn’t just the hits either; for almost the entire set, fans were singing at the top of their lungs.
