Agnes Obel Next Artist to Curate For Late Night Tales, Releases Exclusive Track

Danish artist Agnes Obel is in charge of the latest installment of the long-running, artist-curated mix series of Late Night Tales. The mix curated by Obel will be out May 25th, putting her on the same list as artists such as BadBadNotGood, Nils Frahm, Jon Hopkins, The Flaming Lips, Four Tet, MGMT, Röyksopp, Bonobo, and more.

The first track of the mix to be released is Inger Christensen’s “Poem About Death.” The song is set to original music by Obel and is exclusive to this mix.

In a press release, Obel said of the track, “To me, sounds have always been more interesting than words. I love it when the voice becomes an instrument and you almost forget it’s a human voice.”
