Ontario songwriter Jennifer Castle will be conducting a North American tour starting at the beginning of August to support new album, Angels of Death, out now.
The tour will include performances at North American festivals, including Hopscotch Music Festival in North Carolina and Arboretum Music & Arts Festival in Ontario, Canada. Also, most of the tour dates include the performance of folk band The Weather Station.
Moreover, the tour dates announcement included the release of Castle’s video performance in Canada’s historic Massey Hall, which is celebrating its 124th year. The video includes an interview with the songwriter as well as an unrecorded song.
Castle’s newest album, according to a press release, “is a sublime meditation on mortality and memory, ghosts and grief,” since the album was written and recorded in a 19th century church near the shores of Lake Erie, where her family lived and experienced losses, struggles, and growth.
