Lie and a Chameleon Join JPU Records, Share Single

British label JPU Records have signed the up-and-coming Japanese band, Lie and a Chameleon. The news is accompanied by the band releasing the song, “0,” which is the opening theme for the wildly popular mobile game Bleach: Brave Souls.

This single comes as a precursor for an upcoming track titled “Mononoke in the Fiction,” which will be the band’s first major single in Japan. This track is set for release on January 15 and will be featured in the anime adaptation of In/Spectre (animated by Brain Base of Durarara!! and Assassination Classroom and co-produced by Cruncyroll).

Lie and a Chameleon (嘘とカメレオン / Uso to Kamereon, but often shortened to “Usokame”) are from Tokyo and cmae up as artists on YouTube. Their first music video “Saredo Kijutsushi wa Sai o Furu” (“The Roll of the Magician’s Dice”) had over six million views and led to the band trending on Japanese social media, largely in part to the vocals of band’s vocalist, Cham (.△)
