The Dayton, Ohio alt/punk-rock band, The Breeders, set the tone for a sold out show at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, TX, for a first ever Foo Fighters show in the Sun City. Along a string of dates with the Dave Grohl fronted group, The Breeders have also been celebrating a reissue for the anniversary of their landmark album, Last Splash.
The band, consisting of Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs, and Jim Macpherson have existed since 1989. It was a fews year later that The Breeders took a larger focus in Kim’s career as her other band, The Pixies, disbanded in 1993.
It was in this same year that The Breeders put out Last Splash, the album that resonated with audiences amid the grunge era and became synonymous with 90’s music. And now in 2023, the band put out a reissue 30 years to do the day, on August 30th.
Three decades in tow, however, and the band shows no signs of slowing down. With tour dates in support of the Foo Fighters until January 2024, the band continues from then on their own and then fill up a ticket opening for Olivia Rodrigo from April until August as well.
