Lord Huron Announces New Album, Out July

With the 10th anniversary tour for Strange Trails sold out, Lord Huron is now announcing a summer tour. The tour comes with the news and July 18th release of their newest album, The Cosmic Selector Vol. 1 via Mercury Records.

The album announcement was also accompanied with another single “Looking Back”.

Lord Huron is the project of L.A. based musician, Ben Schneider and also consists of members Mark Barry, Miguel Briseño, and Tom Renaud. This upcoming album will feature a plethora of collaborations as well, including Kristen Stewart and Blonde Redhead’s Kazu Makino to name a couple.

The name of the new album is a reference to the jukebox-like machine featured on the cover. Schneider asked in a press release “what if you could choose your fate like choosing a song in a jukebox? What if your finger slipped on you got the B-side instead? What if you misunderstood the meaning of the dang song to begin with?”
