The legendary rockers, The Mars Volta, made a triumphant homecoming on the third night of their fall 2026 tour. With Boricua artist, Kianí, opening, a full house showed up for the hometown heroes on tour and having just recently announced a new album.










Kianí Medina is opening these dates for The Mars Volta, except for their show tomorrow in San Antonio, TX at the Alamodome on a ticket with My Chemical Romance. Kianí is an experienced musician whose last EP Sed was produced by Omar Rodriguez-Lopez from The Mars Volta. She has also toured with Residente and had been part of the group Cultura Profética.
The Mars Volta announced this week ahead of the tour kick-off, a new album: Lucro Sucio; Unfinished Business. The new album is a live album and live recording of their previous tour in support of their album Lucro sucio; Los ojos del vacio.
