D.A. Stern and the Jacuzzi Boys covered songs from Beastie Boys’ Hello Nasty, which turns 20 years-old tomorrow, July 14th. The covers will be released digitally August 3rd and available on a 7″ by Slumberland Records on September 14th.
The L.A. band, Smokescreens released a new music video with their debut album out July 13th. The video is for the single, “Waiting For Summer,” off their debut album Used to Yesterday out on Slumberland Records. The video features the band with the cloudy backdrop of a gloomy L.A. day.
After a kismet reunion and two new albums since 2015, the iconic band from the U.K. is set to release a compilation album featuring all of their recordings with BBC’s late night show with John Peel. The recordings took place in multiple sessions between 1986 and 1987. The album, Hands In The Till, will be out July 27th in North America via Slumberland Records and on July 20th via A Turntable Friend for the rest of the world.
Smokescreens announced they are back with a new album. Used To Yesterday will be out July 13th via Slumberland Records. The California rockers also released the first track, “Someone New” through Brooklyn Vegan and is available for streaming.
