This past Friday, WHIPPED CREAM introduced her tour HOME WAS ALWAYS ME, named after her recent debut album, during a rainy night at Meow Wolf’s Santa Fe, NM.
The rave was held at Meow Wolf’s original location in Sante Fe, NM, the art exhibition of the House of Eternal Return, one of the six locations in the country, each with a different theme.

The venue was created by over 130 artists, and was made possible by the financial assistance of author Game of Thrones, George R.R. Martin, who purchased the bowling alley where it is now located. The show’s venue is near an immersive tree house surrounded by a variety of rooms designed as “alternate realities”.
The show started at 9:00 p.m., starting with opener Rob AD, then continuing with DJ Thot Daughter from Albuquerque, NM, who closed her set with songs like “Funky Town” and Metro Station’s “Shake It”. The crowd’s outfits varied from fishnet bodysuits to jerseys, patterned 2-piece sets to unbuttoned collared shirts, and more, as varied as The House of Eternal Return’s rooms.
In a recent interview with Con Safos, Caroline Cecil, aka WHIPPED CREAM, achieved making the show as what she mentioned: “I want it to be sweaty and emotional and weird and fun. I want people leaving feeling lighter than when they walked in.”
Some of the songs included in her set from her album HOME WAS ALWAYS ME were “stranger” feat. Ehiorobo, “2 u”, a cover of Tamia’s “So Into You”, while also projecting on the venue’s walls her music videos “want me again”, “collide”, and more. She also included some remixes of Fat Joe’s “What’s Luv?” feat. Ashanti, Daft Punk’s “One More Time”, El Alfa’s “La Mamá”, and even a remix of M.I.A.’s of Bad Girls with Ice Spice’s “Baddie Baddie”, among other anthems, provoking the crowd to sing along.
WHIPPED CREAM continued her tour the following day at Meow Wolf’s Radio Tave in Houston, TX, and will end with a homecoming on November 28th, in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
