Tendertwin is the project of Bilge Nur Yilmaz, who was born in Istanbul, Turkey, studied in Philadelphia, USA, lived in Oxford, England, and is currently based in London. Her debut EP, Ship Argo, will be released on July 5th of this year. For now, Tendertwin released her first music video, “Asking,” two weeks ago on YouTube.
Tendertwin es el proyecto de Bilge Nur Yilmaz, nacida en Estambul, Turquía, estudió en Filadelfia, EE. UU., vivió en Oxford, Inglaterra y actualmente se encuentra situada en Londres. Su EP debut Ship Argo se estrenará el 5 de julio de este año. Por lo tanto, Tendertwin lanzó su primer video musical “Asking” hace dos semanas por medio de YouTube.

Tendertwin mentioned regarding her latest single:
“This is one of the dark times when I would wake up every day, wondering what would happen if I didn’t—on that thin line where nothing in life feels right. When you want to reach your arms up above, to whoever might be there, or to the side, or towards a body of water, and go: ‘Am I asking for too much?’ You’re not.”
Hablando respecto a su nuevo sencillo, Tendertwin mencionó:
“Este es uno de los momentos oscuros en los que despertaba cada día preguntándome que pasaría si no lo haría—en esa delgada línea en la que nada en la vida se siente bien. Cuando quieres alzar los brazos hacia mero arriba, a quien sea que se encuentre ahí, o a lado, o hacia una masa de agua, y decir: ¿Estoy pidiendo mucho? No lo estás”.
The music video, written by her, was shot at her former high school’s swimming pool and directed by Çağla Çağlar and Emre Köktaş. “Asking” is a rebellious turn in Achilles’ story, as a battle with oneself.

The title of her upcoming EP, Ship Argo, is also inspired by another Greek mythology story, “in which is said to be the first ship to sail the seas. The wood itself imbued the ship with magical powers, such as the ability to speak and produce its own prophecies,” Tendertwin explains.
El título de su próximo EP Ship Argo también está inspirado en otra historia de la mitología Griega, “en el cual era considerado el primer barco en navegar todos los mares. Produced and mixed by Yuri Shibuichi, Ship Argo features a stellar lineup of musicians, including Joe Reynolds on cello, Michael Crean on violin, Oscar Browne on bass and electric guitar, Emily Hubbard on cornet, and Faye Thompson on saxophone.
